Pearly

This painting was done shortly after a trip to the beach, in which trip, I spent hours walking up and down the beach collecting the most iridescent shells I had ever seen. When I returned home I was inspired by their shapes and shimmer. “Pearly” was the first piece of a collection created with those shells in mind. I like to think of this series as taking a little bit of the ocean, and the feeling of being on the beach, with me. I’m brought back to the summer of 2025 anytime I look at it.
